Savannah's Unemployment Rates rise to 4.8 percent in May

The Georgia Department of Labor reported that the unemployment rate in the Metro Savannah area rose to 4.8 percent in May. This was an increase from 4.4 percent in April. The Savannah market continues to show very healthy employment. The state of Georgia rate moved to 5.8 percent for May up .5 from April. This shows that Savannah has a stronger economy than the states average.
