Labor Marketing is Getting Really Tight

Earlier this week USA Today had an extensive article on the extreme measures that companies are taking to hire and retain their employees. It is almost back to the days, 1999 to 2001, of huge sign on bonuses and free cars. Employers in the Savannah and surrounding market are also starting to feel the pitch. The unemployment rate in Savannah is very, very low. Lower than the overall rate for Georgia and Georgia is very low for the US. It is not easy to find good employees and employers need to be creative in their hiring practices. The newspaper is not a good value or resource in recruiting, online and a local focused job board is your best value and solution.

This is job recruiting? Businesses get more creative to woo top talent
